IJCAI-ECAI 2026 is currently seeking knowledgeable individuals to join our Program Committee (PC members). If you have proven expertise in the field, we encourage you to express your interest by filling out the application form provided. As a rough guidance, we are looking for researchers who have 5 or more publications in highly selective venues of subareas of AI, and some exposure to IJCAI or AAAI (as an author or a past PC member). We prefer to recruit researchers who have already obtained their PhD, but we are open to inviting exceptional PhD students who are in the final years of their PhD studies.
As a PC member you are expected to deliver overall around 6 reviews distributed over the reviewing periods of Jan. 29 to Feb. 22, 2026 (1st phase), and of Mar. 7 to 30, 2026 (2nd phase). Depending on the number of submissions we receive and on the area, in exceptional cases PC members should be prepared to review up to 8 submissions.
After completing your duties, you will receive a certificate acknowledging the actual work you have carried out.IJCAI-ECAI 2026 implements for the first time the Primary Paper Initiative, which will generate proceeds that are used as an incentive to highly committed PC members. Specifically, via the Peer Reviewers Recognition Policy, PC members who meet clearly defined criteria for bidding, timely and high quality reviewing, and participation in discussions, will qualify to benefit from these proceeds.
