Visa-free entry
EU nationals and citizens of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland do not normally need a visa to enter Germany and may enter the country with their national identity card provided they do not intend to stay longer than 3 months. Additionally, nationals of Australia, Canada, Isreal, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, or the USA do not need a visa to enter Germany provided they do not intend to stay longer than 3 months.

Please find a summary of the visa requirements for non-EU citizens for a short stay (up to 90 days):
- Completed visa application form
- Valid passport
- Biometric passport photo
- Proof of health insurance (valid in the Schengen area)
- Travel insurance with coverage of min. €30.000
- Proof of intention to return
(e.g. employment contract, certificate of enrollment) - Proof of financial means (e.g. pay slip, certificate of enrollment)
- Flight reservation (outbound and return) and proof of accommodation
- Invitation letter to the conference
